Please join me on quick Introduction tour. We will walk via the most famous places. The tour with commence at The Strahov Monestary, next we slowly head toward the Prague Castle district where we will have a quick look inside Cathedral of St. Vitus, Adalbert and Wenceslaus (no ticket required). Afterwards, we will take the Old Royal stairs down and we will walk along the river Vltava toward Charles bridge. We will cross it and walk to the Old Town Square where will finish.

- Prague castle, nowadays the biggest castle complex in the world, found by prince Borivoj (Premysl dynasty) around 880 AD.

Prague Castle - Circuit - adults 250,- CZK
Founded in 1320 by Hynek Berka as an independent subject town. In 1598 Hradcany town was promoted to be independent royal town and finally in year 1784 became as one of the district (area) included in Royal Capital of Prague.
Hradcany and New world (area where the poorest of the poor lived) includes many beautiful palaces and amazing hidden streets to discover.
As mentioned above Hradcany town was founded in 1320. There are many hidden beauties, one of it is Basillica della Santa Casa (Loreto)
Basilica is known for enshrining the house in which the Blessed Virgin Mary have lived. The Holy House (Holly Hut) has been Catholic pilgrimage destination since the 17th century.

Lesser Town independent settlements arose from 9th century but in year 1257 all was promoted to a town by king Premysl Otakar II.
Lesser town is a home to many embassies which are situated in palaces across the whole Lesser town.
Lesser town covers a large area, so you can chose to take the top part of this area plus you can visit church of St. Nicolas church.
Church is dominating the Lesser Town square.
It is a beautiful example of Baroque style and you can see its green dome from anywhere.
The lower part of Lesser town includes many hidden treasures.
For example: Infant Jesus of Prague located in a Church of Our Lady Victorious or Church of Our Lady under the Chain or the famous Lennon's wall (great example of modern resistance against Communist dictatorship). Let's not forget the large amount of Noble palaces spread across the part of Lesser town closer to the river Vltava.
The Old Town became a town in the years 1232-1234. Therefore it is the oldest Prague's town.
Old Town Square saw many changes in lives of their residents, not all were good! That is the place where we will start our tour!
We will visit some amazing places like Church of Our Lady before Tyn, old Custom house or Powder Tower (one of the original city gates).
This Old town is packed with history, amazing architecture and interesting stories on every corner you look
As mentioned above Old Town of Prague is the oldest town of Prague. It received the privilege to open the first town hall in year 1338. In 1338 Jan Lucembursky approved the construction of the town hall at the Old Town Square. First time councilors asked for this privilege in year 1296 but they had to wait more than 40 years to obtain it.
One of the most beautiful views for Prague is from the tower, which was finished in 1364 So we will have a look.

New Town is the youngest and the largest of five independent towns that today comprise the historic center of modern Prague.
It was found in year 1348 by Charles IV. It was about three time lager in size than Old Town.
It was the 3rd largest city in Europe in 14th century.
There are not many building left from 14th century but the most interesting parts are much younger and we can stroll thought it.
For example: Wenceslas Square, Republic Square with Municipal House and many more.
Josefov, is now days the name for Jewish Quarter in Prague.
Jews named their district after Josef II. They wanted to show their appreciation to the king. Thanks to him their finally gain a lot of privileges. Freedom to move out, freedom to study, freedom to chose their profession and much more.
This short introduction tour can explaining the main history points of once sealed area in the heart of Prague.
Josefov - once a Jewish Quarter in Prague. It is an area packed with history and it's a stone throw from the main square of Old Town of Prague.
On this tour we will not only talk about the history but have a look inside the oldest Synagogue in Europe Old New Synagogue (still in use) build in ear 1280, visit the famous Jewish cemetery, (there are places where as many as twelve layers exist) and there is more to discover on very small area where Jewish Ghetto used to be.

Charles bridge was found in 1357 after the previous bridge was destroyed by flood.
This bridge is a great example of skills people possess in 14th century. Much later Charles bridge was decorated by many amazing statues, so people call it Open Air Gallery. We will have a short stroll to have a look and continue to Kampa Island, which you can easily call the most picturesque area in town.
This quick walk will take us up the Strahov Hill where we will talk about the rich history of Strahov Monastery (founded in year 1143), take the best pictures of Prague and then continue to see Czech "Eiffel" Tower.
This tower was built in year 1891 for World!s Jubilee Exhibition. You can visit it (you can chose to take the lift or 299 steps :-)

If you wish to extend this walk, I can recommend visiting the most beautiful library in Prague. Strahov library has Philosophical Hall built in 1783 and it is unique. It is decorated with breath taking frescos and all restored in 1994.

There are many gardens in Prague. The most visited is the Royal Garden in Prague Castle but there are more hidden gems you can find in Prague.
For Example: Furstenberg Garden, Kolowrat Garden, Ledebour Garden or Garden of Palfy Palace. All these gardens are from Baroque period from 18th century.
Not to forget Wallenstein Garden or Vrtba Garden. All gardens are situated in Lesser Town beneath the Prague Castle.
Tour is only available in Summer season and tickets are not included.
Vysehrad is not in the center of Prague, so we do need to take public transport. Most important time for history of Vysehrad was 11th century when Vratislav II transferred his seat from Prague Castle to Vysehrad.
There is a beautiful church in the middle of it to visit and it is surrounded by park with views to the town. Park has many statues which are reminding us
Now days is famous for its cemetery where the most famous Czech people are buried.
For example: Antonin Dvorak, Alphonse Mucha etc.
